The European Supervisory Authorities (ESA) have published a consultation paper asking for input on draft regulatory technical standards (RTS)

ESMA has published a notice on its website informing that the European Supervisory Authorities (ESAs) have published a consultation paper seeking input on draft regulatory technical standards (RTS) on the content, methodologies and disclosure of sustainability indicators for simple, transparent and standardised securitisations (STS).

The proposed draft RTS aim to:
  • Facilitate disclosure by originators of the main negative impacts of assets financed through STS securitisations on environmental, social and governance-related factors;
  • To fill the regulatory framework for securitisation as amended by the Capital Markets Recovery Package (CMRP);

The deadline for responses on the consultation paper is 2 July 2022.

All contributions should be submitted online at www.esma.europa.eu, under "Your Input - Consultations". Respondents are invited to use the "feedback form".

Following the end of the consultation period, the draft RTS will be finalised and submitted to the European Commission.
